As I arrived on the peak of Arizona’s highest summit last weekend, I couldn’t help but think of Everest…it sure felt like an Everest at the time! But I also couldn’t help but reflect on the fact that I will be standing at the foot of Everest next year during my month in Nepal. It is quite surreal to imagine all that I will see and do in the next year and anticipate all the things that God will show me on my mission trip. I know there will be times of loneliness and moments of struggle adjusting to unknown places and cultures, but I also know that it will be life changing and eye-opening and that I will experience true amazement in seeing God’s love for His people and His miraculous provision for those in need. The awesomeness I felt on the summit of Mt. Humphrey’s will pale in comparison to seeing God move in the world to show His love to His precious children. I can hardly wait!!
