I could not imagine a life where I could not profess my love for the BEST FATHER a girl could ever ask for. I love the Lord so much that when I see unbelievers who either don’t know him or refuse to give him a real shot my heart aches for you. Back home I have people that I know that are world changers and they have spiritual gifts that I could see just looking into their eyes and God I pray that they get to see your glory in the land of the living. God I also pray for a fire that burns so deep that they can’t even control themselves. To know that I’ve got to encounter people who have to be ashamed of the gospel because of people and laws it blows my mind. I pray for a world where everyone gets to walk in freedom, because I want them to see your goodness.
Picture this:
Imagine having your hands tied behind your back, your feet tied up and your lips stapled together as you try to live in freedom and stand on the word of the Lord. It’s hard right? Quite frankly nearly impossible.
Now think about how much freedom you have, how does your life reflect Christ? If you didn’t tell people that you were a Christian, would they even know? How does that make you feel?
Educational info:
So here in Malaysia I’ve got to learn some really interesting facts so allow me a moment to enlighten you on what REALITY is here. So just as in the states in Malaysia they have laws that they must abide by or there are penalties but its a bit different from the U.S. So there are two separate laws here, the civil law and the Shariah law which are drastically different. The civil law is like the British law like in the U.S and it’s for all religions other than Muslim (ex. Buddhist, Hindu, Christian etc.). We are allowed to do evangelism with them because they have beliefs but doesn’t have restrictions with conversions or just learning about other religions. However with the Shariah law which is strictly for the Muslim community that can not under any circumstance choose another religion. So picture this you and your spouse get married and have a child and you are a Muslim, when your child grows up they literally have NO choice to choose a different religion. Like they are stuck in this religion even if they found the truth in the word of God, and if they tried to covert to any other religion that will be put in prison and brainwashed back to believing in the Islamic faith. So Malays which are natives and are from original tribes here in Malaysia and they are an ethnic group, they MUST be Muslim (Again no choice). So when we are interceding for these people or just wanting to having conversation with them its is so hard because we never want to come off as disrespectful to their culture. Also just understanding how to approach them whether with a handshake or a wave its a lot to learn. When I tell you finding out the information about the laws and how lost the people group is it made me so extremely sad for this country and also for my country as well. For the simple fact that we don’t take advantage of our choices which is something the Lord gives us. Like as a body of believers we are often ashamed of the gospel, not because of fear of being persecuted but just fear of what other people think. WE MUST DO BETTER!
My prayer for this world, this country and my friends/family is that we be unashamed and stand-in the gap for these people and for this country, that we began to intercede on their behalf and allow ourselves to be selfless. Don’t worry about what anyone has to say about you as a believer as long as you are following his word and being holy in all that you do, The lord is pleased. I say all this to say be unashamed in your faith and make Jesus famous EVERYDAY!
Also don’t forget I am still $7,695 away from being fully funded ($19,200) but only $1495 shy of my next goal which is $13,000 due on March 31,2020. Be praying about partnering with me in this journey because I can not do this alone. Also continue to lift up a prayer for me and my squad at 11am and 11pm daily as we continue on our Journey.
From Penang, Malaysia to all over I LOVE YOU!
