Alright.. Here goes nothing.
Im usually not too good at talking about myself. I was really hoping to get a friend to write this for me, cuz honestly he’s better at talkin about me than I am π
Anywho, as Jessica would say.
My name is Shaun.
My life has been an exciting one. If it were a movie, i think it would slide into the action/drama section. And I can imagine it sitting in the “best releases” section too. Cuz everyone would get a kick out of a movie on my life π “The Story of Shaun and his Ukulele”
I don’t actually play the Ukulele but I did pick it up about an hr ago and made some serious noise with it. Im the next Israel Kamakawiwo’ole π
Now a summary of my life;
My older sister Desiree and I were raised in Palmdale CA till my freshman year and her sophomore year in High School. We moved to the Huge town of Howe TX with our very gracious Aunt Mary and Uncle James. Our graduating classes at Howe High were a whopping 75 apiece.. yup 150 combined!! .. Huge π
Living in a small town was awesome. You know everyone and everyone knows you and your business (before you do). I played several sports and made potential life long friends. Like Daniel, my brother that I played football and 3-4 weeks of baseball with, we’re planning a trip around the states one day.
It was good leaving the small town too though. After High School I enrolled at the local Juco in Grayson County with my buddy Jordan. We enjoyed a crazy year at the GCC dorms. That may have been the craziest year of my life. I truly thank God that I made it through that season of my life with no felonies and a family that still loves me. That summer, I spent a few months in Houston working on an oil refinery got the true Texas experience then moved to CA.
I wasn’t settled in CA long before an old friend convinced me that West Texas was the place to be.. It took a month of convincing, then, I jumped on board.
It was an awesome year. A year of Texas Tech football. Or should I say “a year of Harrell to Crabtree, then a game of shame”. A year of growth in Christ. And a semester of 4 roommates on fire for God.
Jeff, Gerald, Daniel, and Myself. I was saved a few weeks maybe a month before I moved into the house. And these men were stoked Christians. We’d turn on some Bethel Worship, Kim Walker, Rick Pino, Jesus Freaks tuneage and worship in the living room for hours. Praying together. Praising God for everything.
The semester didn’t last but the memories will.
I moved out to Los Angeles November 09′. The past few months I’ve been seeking God in everything I do. The more you look the more you see.
While working at a coffee shop in Pasadena I met an amazing fella. Bill. He’s helped me through all sorts of crazy times and I hope to return the favor some day. Bill and I have worked on media projects together. He helped get me involved in my 1st short film. Which got my foot in the door to media.
Recently I’ve been doing background work on TV shows and whatever God throws my way.
The World Race is something I’ve dreamt about doing for sometime now. Back in February I applied but didn’t finish the process, because I was scared that it may have been too soon or not the right choice.. God recently nudged me towards the adventure.
Why hold back if God pushes??
Thats why im here.

PS–> My sister Desiree’ is in Kazakhstan with the Peace Corp!! She’s out there teaching English π If yall could pray for her time out there that would be awesome!! π
Peace, Love, and Adventure
