Month 6 of the Race in Chiang Mai, Thailand was amazing! I would love to share that those experiences with you in this post.

Let me start it off by showing you my favorite picture! We ordered some super yummy noodles but they were messy so we had to wear napkin bibs! Ha ha ha!

What did I do for ministry?

We partnered with an Austrailian organization called Christian Outreach Center (COC), Chiang Mai. It is a great organization that helps in many capacities but we specifically worked with their school ministry. Here is COC’s website if you are interested in finding out more about them. https://cocthailand.com

You’re probably thinking I taught English. Well not exactly! We got to do construction! Yeah baby!(insert manly Tim Allen grunts)

They were building and renovating a school. The vision for the school is to provide an affordable and quality education to children of missionaries, have a Bible college, and have a school for children coming out of trafficking. It is not safe for these aforementioned children to go to public school because their former handlers try to find and harm them to prevent being prosecuted.

(Here is the school property)

I got to sand, paint, and pour cement. Oh my goodness, I had so much fun being physically active and building things! Not to mention I’ve got to give myself a high five for mixing cement by hand with a hoe!

This month the two all female teams combined. It was so great to be with all of those amazing women of God. Plus, we had tons of fun together. There were definitely a few pranks between us. But in all seriousness, I was blessed to be with them and I grew deeper with God because of them.

We stayed at an Adventures in Missions (AIM) hostel and had the opportunity to be poured into by the staff working there. Specifically, the Women’s Ministry facilitator. We had some great sessions with her. She taught us about the sex tourism industry in Thailand, led us in intercession for it, and facilitated a prayer walk on a popular street for that near by.

It was incredibly eye opening and heart breaking. I learned that the song “God of this City” was written for Thailand. Here is the link to hear the story behind the song

So while Thailand is in a dark place, I know that God is not done with these beautiful people. We sang this song during our intercession night and it was so powerful knowing that the words came from God’s heart for this country. God is a redeeming God who has a heart burning with passionate love for His lost children.

Adventure Days!

Thailand also has an incredibly beautiful side to it and I got to explore it on my adventure days!

My friends and I camped at Doi Inthanan mountain where we went hiking to a breathtaking waterfall.

Another day, we went to Sticky Falls. This is a waterfall with rocks covered in a layer of mineral deposit allowing you to climb up the waterfall! This was seriously one of the coolest and most fun experiences I have ever had!

Thank you Jesus for letting me to play in your creation!

One more story, God’s provision for this mission has been incredible!

We have raised $17,268 since April! Oh my goodness! That is so amazing! It is only $1,332 away from the $18,600 goal! Thank you everyone so much for your continued support. I am so grateful and seriously blown away by how God has used you! You are impacting this world for Jesus.

Thanks for tuning in friends! Until next time!
