Hello all,
If you’ve been subscribed to this blog since the beginning, you probably remember Adopt a Box. It was one of the many ways to raise support for the World Race. Basically, you were to pick a box/number and donate that amount. Once all of the boxes were filled, I was going to randomly choose 11 boxes and whomever they corresponded to I would buy a souvenir from a specific country for you. That was almost one year ago now. Thank you to all of you who participated! Unfortunately, I never got all of the boxes filled, so I decided not to do the random souvenirs.
I didn’t want you to think I forgot about it, so I thought I’d put a quick note here. Thanks again for all of your support, encouragement, prayers before and during these past 7 months.

We now have a bit over 4 months left. Lately, the talk among the squad has been “what are your plans for after the Race?” We even got an email from our leadership telling us that our last flight back to a major US city will be booked for us in the next few weeks! Whoa! Time is moving fast!
Last weekend, I pretty much had the place to myself as mostly everyone was away at the beach for the weekend. It was completely quiet except for the occasional bird, goat, dog making noise. I sat looking at the water and the sunset and asked the Lord, what He has for me after the Race. Should I go back to my job at the hospital? Should I seek out a new job? A new career? A long-term missionary position? Go back on the field to lead a World Race squad? Join World Race America for a few months? Should I go back to school? Should I? Should I? Should I? As a single girl, I am blessed that the options/opportunities are numerous. Yet at times, it can be overwhelming.
I prayed that I want whatever He has for me. I have not yet received specific clarity on what He wants me to do after the Race, but I do know that as long as I am seeking Him, I can’t go wrong. He orders my steps. Psalm 37:23 says “The steps of the God-pursuing ones follow firmly in the footsteps of the Lord, and God delights in every step that they take to follow him.” I have nothing to fear if I am pursuing Him daily.

I spent the first 2 weeks of April on Ometepe Island here in Nicaragua. There, we dug holes to ready a plantain field for planting. We also helped out at the CICRIN school and orphanage. Saying goodbye to the kids was hard. They will always have a special place in my heart. I pray God’s continued blessings on the staff and children there.
Now, I am in Granada, while the other half of the squad is 4 hours north of Granada. We’ve been doing manual labor and also going throughout the community inviting people to a Good Friday and Easter event and praying with them and sharing the Gospel. Next week is PVT and then debrief with our squad coaches. (more on these another time) I’m super excited!
As always, please leave a comment and/or question below. It lets me know that someone is actually reading my ramblings… 🙂
In courageous faith and for His glory alone,
Sharon
