Hello all!
Lately, as more and more family and friends find out about this World Race missions trip, I am getting many of the same questions and comments. Comments such as “Is it safe? What about your job and career? What about your dog? You don’t seem the missionary type. If you go, you’ll miss out on the great guy I’m sure the Lord has for you. You’ll never be able to fundraise that much! etc. etc.” One lesson I’ve been learning through this whole journey is that it is okay not to have everything figured out. Faith is being sure and confident in what God has called you to do and stepping out into the uncertainty, yet also into the certainty that “He who calls you is faithful to do it.” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).
I definitely appreciate all of the concern, and I know most of the questions and comments come from a place of love. I am thankful and blessed to even have family and friends who are concerned about my well-being. I do not take it granted. With all of that being said, here is the link to a great blog post by one of my squad-mates that answers many FAQs about the World Race mission trip. All last week, I was drafting a similar FAQ blog post, and then I saw that she beat me to it. In that blog post, some of your questions will be answered, and you will also see what countries we will be going to! Here’s the link:

Now for my last fundraising update for March-
The boxes that have been adopted as of March 27, 2018 are:
boxes# 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21,22,23,25, 24, 25, 27, 37, 43,45,46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 57, 67, 77, 87, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100.
(see the Adopt-a-Box post for what the boxes mean)
I am happy to announce that I am now over 6% to the fundraising total. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Although I did not meet my complete Adopt-a-Box goal for March, I am extremely grateful for all of the support I’ve received so far. The Adopt-a-Box will be open indefinitely until all of the boxes are adopted. So, if you have not chosen a box and donated that amount, there’s still time. Just let me know which one you choose and donate that amount.
For the month of April, I do not have a specific fundraiser planned. I will be planning fundraising events for May, June, and July, so stay tuned for details.
Please don’t forget to share this blog. Please also consider setting up a monthly or quarterly donation of any amount via the donate button above.
In courageous faith and for His glory alone,
Sharon
