After leaving the YWAM base on the morning of May 18th, we said goodbye to our hosts and boarded the bus back to San Jose. We arrived to Transforma House late that afternoon. When we arrived, our hosts greeted us warmly and offered us coffee and cake. We sat down with Vanessa and Helena and she gave us a thorough orientation to Transforma.

We were only scheduled to be there for 5 nights, so it was a blessing that she gave us such a thorough briefing on her amazing ministry before we started. Transforma is now on my list of top ministries of the past 8 months. We helped around the house, organizing and cleaning. We went into the community to visit, encourage, and pray with women. We also got to babysit the women’s children while they were being trained upstairs.
Our time there was short and sweet. On the morning of May 23rd, we boarded another bus to San Ramon for our 3rd and final ministry of the month. It was bittersweet. How could 5 days make such an impact in my heart. God has and is continuing to do great things through Vanessa and Transforma. Women’s lives are being transformed from the inside out! I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to be a part of it, if only for a few days.
