Looks like we are going to be in Mexico for ministry this month…I´m excited!

It is completely unexpected.  The squad stayed in Europe an extra month instead of going to Mexico as slated in the beginning.  However, when we arrived in Guatemala for debrief we found out some Guatemalan contacts fell through and 2 teams would be in Mexico instead.  Somehow, I knew we would be one of the teams (we were one of two teams in Moldova instead of Ukraine like the rest of the squad in April).  I have never been to Mexico like almost everyone who has done a short term mission trip so I am excited to experience the country, the people, and what God is doing there.  (However, I am not excited about the possibility of turantulas.)  This month we will be in Palenque with Team Clay.  We are hoping to leave tommorow morning for an 8 hour bus ride into Mexico.

Thank you for your prayers.

By the way, I did climb a volcano yesterday, yes there was moving hot lava which I roasted a marshmallow on, yes it was probabaly the hardest and most strenuous thing I´ve ever done in my life, yes I basically skated back down the mountain on super sharp lava rocks, but I SURVIVED!  Definately only a once in a lifetime thing but totally worth $10 USD!
