—Will you go?—

One simple question that God has pounded on my heart for months.

Without hesitation, I said yes.  Little did I know what I had agreed to do.
I didn't know that meant following Him across the world.
I didn't know that meant giving up my comfort zone.
I didn't know that meant leaving everything behind.

                                                      But I said yes.

God has given me new dreams in the last few years.
A dream to help the poor and those who are pushed aside.
A dream to travel the world.
A dream to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Now, He has wrapped all of those passions into one and given me the chance of a lifetime to serve.  People may think I'm crazy to travel across the world for 11 months with people I have never met, but then again, people thought Jesus was crazy.  I guess it runs in the "family." Hehe.

I found The World Race when I was looking for jobs, and I fell in love with it immediately.  I applied and was accepted less than a month later.  Anyone who knows me knows that I am not "normal," and I never want to be.  I didn't want to fall into a mundane routine and give up my dreams.  Too many people do that, and I refused to do the same.  Perhaps that was stubbornness or perhaps it was God pushing on my heart.  I'd like to think it's the latter.

God calls us to do missions work where we are right now, so don't think you have to quit your job and leave.  Not everyone is called by God to travel across the world, just some of us.  I'm so thankful He called me to The World Race, and I cannot wait to share stories and experiences with those on the race and back home.

Basically, God's plan is the bomb.
