-Any type of traveling causes our feet to swell.
-We use windows as our only full-length mirrors, so when we do that at home, just let it happen.
-Chocolate is great all the time. Our team tried to give it up for a month and lasted a day.
-Reusing a water bottle for a month without washing it is normal.
-“Clean enough” is the new clean.
-Wearing clothes for days at a time is normal.
-Apart from cultural food, peanut butter and jellys, grilled cheeses, apples, and rice are the four major food groups.
-Picture this: team time. 6 women. imagining food with deep longing. What’s missing? Pregnancy. A husband. Drive-thru.
-The craziest places we have slept:
*sitting up on a train with our huge backpacks on our feet,
*in a train station laying on our packs on the freezing cold floor, outside of a train station while crowds form to watch us sleep,
*a bus driven like a getaway car in a bank robbery (or like Stan from Harry Potter) while the aisle is piled with packs up to our heads,
*my hammock in 35 degree weather 10 feet away from screeching trains that sound like dying cats,
*two twin beds pushed together to form one giant sideways bed for 3 people, on an office floor,
*airplanes,
*and a train where you are woken up either by angry Chinese men every hour or the Gangum style song playing from a Coke can.
-We often pull up our webcam to see how our hair looks.
-We long for the days when we don't have to live out of a backpack and a portable house.
-When we get home, we will be confused as to why everybody isn't staring at us.
