Close your eyes and imagine the highest point on the highest mountain in all the world. You’re standing on the very edge and everything within you is telling you to jump, just let yourself fall and enjoy the journey down. Enjoy it because you know with absolute certainty that someone is waiting there to catch you.

My question is: Would you jump?

I would tell you go and go without hesitation. That’s what Im doing with the World Race.

It is a mountain that has perfectly positioned me to experience God in a way I never have before. Every day of ministry and life on this race presents a new opportunity to jump into God’s crazy-awesome plans for me, and it’s ultimately the adventure of a lifetime. Each day I have a choice to either live it to the fullest and go all in or to go through half living and ultimately regretting the things left undone.  I want to take full advantage of this God-given opportunity, so everyday I choose to jump.

And as I jump into God’s waiting arms, I’m giving everything I have to ministry, the people I meet, my teammates, and God. It means holding nothing back and living with no regrets. At launch, my squad mentor told us that this year is for God and there’s no reason to be afraid or not to dive in. It’s the perfect time to risk it all because there’s nothing to lose.

So for the next year I plan to constantly ask myself: why not?
Why not talk to that person?
Why not go shark diving?
Why not be vulnerable and share my struggles?
Why not cry with someone?
Why not share the gospel and give someone the gift of Christ?
Why not fix my issues and allow God to make me whole?

Why not? Why not me? Why not now?

This is my season to risk it all and say why not? To challenge myself to go beyond what I’ve ever thought or tried.

If God is calling you to something and you’re hesitating or are afraid, ask yourself why not and if there is no answer. Go. And enjoy the journey down.

I know I am!
