Have you ever sat there just watching the clock–half dreading the fact that time is almost up and half relieved that you won't have to wait for the outcome anymore? And every tick, tock is both an enemy and a friend?
Well….I have my first financial deadline in 6 days and as of tonight, I'm $900 short. As the deadline draws near, I've gone through a variety of emotions and reactions. In fact, yesterday and today were really hard for me, but I hope satan enjoyed his lil attack on me because as of 6:15pm today, I used my shield and am standing on what I know.
There are 4 ways my approaching deadline can turn out:
(1) I don't make the deadline and don't go on the race at all. (I REALLY do want to go so this is the very last option!)
(2) I don't make the deadline and can't leave in September as originally planned. I can choose to postpone until January and have more time to raise the funds. (I'm not feeling led to Jan. routes as of now but who knows what God may be calling me to)
(3) I don't make the deadline but use my personal funds to cover the difference. (I really don't have personal money to expend)
(4) God works miracles like only He can and I make the deadline. (Yay Jesus!)
There are pros and cons to each of numbers 1-3, but I'm honestly exhausted with trying to figure out what could happen, when, and how. Over analyzing and trying to figure it out only leads to worry, doubt, and fear. I don't want to be captive to those so I choose to move forward with doing what I planned (reach out to more people and churches, plan fundraisers, etc.) and simply trust God. He knows what's meant to happen and I'm expecting that by the end of this week, He will show me which number is my destiny. I'm willing to follow down the path of whichever number He leads, and in the meantime…I'm trying not to watch the clock or hear the tick, tock.

- stress-free and at peace
- faith-filled that God will show up at just the right time and in just the right way
- faithful to God's calling wherever He leads
