I know, I know…corny title but it fits so well! Here's my mini burst of thoughts for today:
"But once we know Him and HE comes to dwell within us, then He will be reaching out in love constantly as He did when He walked the dusty paths of His earthly home in Galilee, reconciling, loving, saving, ministering, teaching, and giving of Himself every breath until He had no breath left."
As I was reading one of my daily devotionals, this assertion really struck home with me. The devotional focused on the importance of God's two greatest commandments: love God, love people and how they are connected.
In essence, if you love God, you will love people, and the more you grow in your relationship with The Lord, the more He can work and love through you. Everything that He is should be noticeable in how you live everyday life and treat people.
As I read this, something tingly rose up inside of me and made me so excited to be the one He wants to use! I was like, "Lil ol me?" "Yes", God said, "You Sharion!" He wants me to be His representative and to let Him work through me!!!
How could I do anything but be honored and yet humbled? I can't wait for Him to reach out through me to reconcile, love, save, minister, teach, and give everything I am. At one point or another I have done some of these but never all of them and never so completely that I seemingly have nothing left. I can't wait to see the fruit of God's love through me as He leaves it across 11 nations!
If I had twitter, definitely have to hash tag it: #turnup #leggo #tickledpink!
“Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?”
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
