I live with 4 women who used to be sex trafficing victims.
Through WipeEveryTear ministry, they are now out of that and in a house together going to college and being discipled by a woman who used to be a professor in a college here in Manila.
I have had the honor of hearing one of their testimonies. I have even watched a movie about sex trafficing with them- surreal that they have lived through this. I have also been able to walk the streets and minister to girls still trapped in this with them. We have gone and evangelized and fed the poor together. These women are healing and being filled with hope and joy everyday. I can't imagine what they have been through but I'm so encouraged to live life with them. These beautiful women of God have given up their beds for us to sleep on. Seriously?! They just keep going above and beyond. I am simply humbled.
One night, I was talking to the women on the street with these beautiful new roomates I have. The first woman we ran into didn't speak any english so my roomate would translate for me. It was crazy because the one translating has a son living with us and she was telling me that this woman keeps her 4 year old son with her while she works so that police won't arrest her. She stopped after explaining what was just said, stares at me and says, "that's so sad." I can't imagine.
There were women who where sick, there were women who were 8 months pregnant but they kept working because they needed the money to survive.
These women come from poor lives and they think they are going to college or that they can work as a server in a resturant and are tricked into sex trafficing. They are abused and told things will happen to their families if they leave- they are put in a state of constant fear.
Can you imagine? You are in a constant state of abuse. Your body is no longer your own. You don't have money to feed yourself if you stop. You don't know if your family will live if you leave. While you are working, police could come arrest you at anytime. In a constant state of fear, what hope do you have?
WipeEveryTear.org is an organization- an amazing organization where women are taken out of this and given a new life. These women have to heal. They have to learn to trust again. They have to learn to forgive. These women's lives don't just stop and it's all rainbows and sunshine when they leave the streets but it is a good struggle. God hasn't left them and never will.
These women have hope. God is using this organization to do that.
Women want to be out of where they are, I've already heard some of them ask if they could join this house of hope. Watch this video- it tells more. also, visit WipeEveryTear.og
