Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing this letter to share with you the exciting news about my next stage in life. In this past year, God has been calling me to immerse myself in missionary work. I was able to go on a short trip to Haiti this past June and it completely changed my life. God may have used you as a catalyst in sending me to Haiti and I just want to say thank you for playing an important role in that life-altering trip. Sharing God’s love with the people of Haiti exposed me to the devastating need outside the borders of the United States. I was at a point in my life where I was searching high and low for purpose and God used my trip to fill me with a vision for how I might make a difference in this world through missions.
After much prayer and contemplation about my future, God has presented me with an amazing opportunity to serve for 11 months in 11 different countries around the world. I will be serving as a missionary with an organization called Adventures In Missions (AIM), through a program called The World Race. I will be traveling to the following countries for approximately a month each: Dominican Republic, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Philippines, Thailand, Burma, and Cambodia. I depart in July of 2014 and will return beginning of June 2015. Throughout the duration of my 11 month journey, I will encounter challenges, adventure, community, and development, walking alongside God’s servants and offering my help. During The World Race I will be traveling with my team and partnering with different ministries to plant churches, serve in orphanages, and minister to women and children who are victims of human trafficking, all in order to aide in the restoration of hope in God’s love for His people.
I am unbelievably grateful for this opportunity to surrender the comforts of my current life to go and serve Him through this journey. God has called me to the World Race and I have complete confidence that He will provide all of my needs in preparation as well as during my trip. At the end of the day, the cry of my heart is that He will do that with your help. I am writing this letter to ask if you would prayerfully consider prayerfully or financially supporting me in my year-long ministry. I need to raise $16,252 in order to go on The World Race. This amount will cover my expenses while on the field. Financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation, of which you can choose the amount and duration of the donation. I am thrilled to see how God will move in my life as well as the lives of others in the coming year. I hope to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you.
