Hello everybody!
I am so excited to announce that after 55 long hours of travel we are finally in Sombor, Serbia! This month we will be working with the Protestant Church of Sombor and their pastor Zoli. Our ministry for the next 21 days is focused entirely on community. We are learning to live life side by side with many of the young folks here in Sombor.
Most days this involves hanging out with them at coffee shops, playing card/board games with them in the evenings and just hearing about their lives. In our core group of people thus far we have encountered many who know and love the Lord, others who have heard the gospel but have not made a choice for salvation, and some who don’t understand who Jesus is and what he has done. We have an incredible opportunity for influence this month and we are looking forward to seeing these relationships develop during our time here.
During this month please be praying that:
– The youth of Sombor would have tender hearts to hear the gospel message and surrender their life to the Lord or to grow deeper into their faith through discipleship with someone in our team. – The people of Sombor would be open to having conversations with us and that we could begin to build relationships with them early on.
– That pastor Zoli would feel encouraged by us this month and that we would be able to serve not only his congregation but him as well.
