“Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live and in your name I will lift up my hands.” – Psalm 63:3-4

I recently graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Christian Studies. I am excited to journey on the world race starting in August of 2017! Here are a few things you may want to know about me:

I am passionate about Jesus. He has saved me, redeemed me, called me His beloved, and what a glorious thing that is! It is so glorious that I want to share with others who He is and what He has done so that they also may experience this same Jesus. Everything else in my life falls after my love and dedication to Him.

I am passionate about obedience. I believe that God has called me to a lifetime of ministry. I surrendered to this calling when I was 16, and I have been pursuing it ever since. The World Race is my next step in this journey, but it is still a journey. I believe the Lord will use the race to reveal Himself and to deepen my call to serve.

I am passionate about family. I am one of six children – the oldest being 25 and the youngest has just turned 1. My family is supportive as I pursue what God has for me next, and I am grateful for parents who pray for me and seek the Father’s heart alongside me.

I am passionate about people. Whether it is listening to someone’s story or simply serving silently alongside them, I believe God has called us to be relational. I thrive in deep community and in truly knowing someone. My friends are a vital part in my life as they have taught me to be a better reflection of Christ Jesus.

As I take this next step into the World Race, I am approached with a constant theme of abandonment – God has called me to abandon all else and pursue mightily after Him. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. I pray you will recklessly abandon your chains as well.
