Well its that time….Month 11. We are ending out our long journey in Jeffery’s Bay South Africa. After living out of tents, on the floor, in the Mountains, in churches, God has blessed us with ending on the beach and having beds and showers. Honestly its helping us not freak out as much when we get back to the states. Some days the race feels like its lasting a life time and others you feel like you just blinked through a month. In your mind you have a count down of going home. You can’t help it. Some days it just sucks living out of a backpack. And you miss your family like mad!

Now that we are in our last month its so crazy how your count down changes. Suddenly your scared out of your mind to go home. I know that once I’m in the states I’ll never have this chance again. Chance to see the church all over the world. To just go and serve and not worry about money. To get involved with missionaries you’ve never heard of before, to live with crazy amazing people.

I also know that once I’m home I’m going to miss the Race a lot. You don’t think that in the beginning of the trip. Your usually super annoyed with your squad and can’t imagine missing them because you still have 5 long months to live with them. But them you realize that you’ll only see a handful of thees 50 people you’ve spent your last year with. I don’t know now its just super sad realization.

I only have one month left with my amazing team Shining Grace. These 5 woman have taught and shown me so much. It’s been such a joy to lead them and grow with them. I never thought I would love a girls team this much! I’m so excited to end out the race with them, working with soup kitchens, nursing homes and after school programs. Jeffery’s bay is a big hub for missionaries so there is a lot we can get involved in. Super stoked to see where God places us to serve this month.

wooooohoooo for going out with a bang!! <3
