Why hello there! My name is Shannon Pere, I am from Little Rock, Arkansas and I am 21 years old. I have two wonderful parents and two brothers. My older brother David is in the Marines and my little brother Michael is a senior in high school. I was home schooled my entire life and graduated high school in 2010. I have worked at my church doing childcare since I was thirteen and I wouldn’t change that for the world. I LOVE investing in all the children who pass through the doors and getting to know them, their families and my co-workers better.
I became a Christian when I was little but didn’t really make my faith my own until I was 15. I was on a mission trip in Mexico at the time and just really felt God stirring in my heart. I realized I was living a life of sin and selfishness and wanted to be made whole and clean in Christ.
After I graduated I went to Capernwray Bible School in England for the 2011-2012 school year. Capernwray is part of an organization called Torchbearers and they have multiple Bible schools all over the world. Going to Capernwray was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I lived every day life in a castle, became best friends with some of the most amazing, encouraging and inspiring people I have ever met and spent hours and hours of time getting to know my Savior better and studying His word. It was the best.

- I love Jesus, He is the reason I am on this earth and because of Him I have purpose – to love God, love His people and in turn, tell them about the love of Christ.

I am passionate about missions and travel, so being able to combine both and go on the World Race is a HUGE dream come true!

I love laughter and just funny things and funny people in general.

I have wanted to go to Africa since I was a little kid and was finally able to go to Uganda in 2009 and 2010. I left a piece of my heart there.

When I was five years old and people asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I always said I wanted to be a mom and/or work in an orphanage. Sixteen years later that is still what I want to be. Five year old me knew what was up.

Coca-Cola is my thing. Coca-Cola from Sonic is really my thing. Buy me a Coke from Sonic and you could be my best friend.

I talk to myself all the time and will randomly find myself laughing at things I say while talking to myself.

My family is hilarious and crazy and I am so thankful for them! They make me laugh ALL the time.
