Ok, so this post is not really about Taylor Swift, though it’s not too far off the beaten path.
This past week, most of C-squad has been sick. Lovely parasites, colds, coughs, and an oh so fun ear infection. So as of last Tuesday night, I was quarantined. Anyone with symptoms was eventually quarantined. I had an ear infection, which was causing dizziness, which caused vomiting anytime I walked around for more than a minute. Can I tell you how fun that was? I bet you can guess. :-p
But despite the dizziness, the vomiting, the ear pain, and the isolation, this past week has been amazing. Now believe me, I didn’t think it was at the time, but it’s all about perspective. And Jesus has this awesome way of changing perspectives.
Though I can’t even begin to cover all of why this past week was so amazing, here are just a few things that really made it awesome:
-Being forced to REST
-Getting to know some dear, sweet, and beautiful squadmates better
-Having the chance to finish one of the books I was reading (True Love Dates- go buy it now)
-Having the chance to process through things I wouldn’t have even opened the book on
-Having time to pray for my teammates & squadmates
-Getting the chance to finally finish a whole movie (or 5)
-Sweet time with Jesus
Let me tell you, it was a hard week. Isolation absolutely sucks. BUT it proved to be some of the best Jesus time ever. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. So as he was healing my ear, he also started healing some deep hurts. I am forever thankful.
So for everyone that is and was praying for me & my squad- THANK YOU! We are constantly relying on your prayers and God’s provision. I miss each and everyone of you guys! Just know that y’all are in my prayers, too, and that I love you guys so much!
