I just received this email from one of my friends who is a minister in Lira, Uganda. I wanted to share this opportunity to change someone’s life with all of you. My friend writes,

“It is with great sadness that while other women were extremely excited of International Women’s Day yesterday, this lady, 38 years old was in deep sorrow and pain! I felt so sorry for this lady and I am coming out to exhaust all possible avenues to help. She is needy and poor. She can’t afford to go for medical operation neither does her relatives. She needs funds to help operate her.

Will you stand with her or share this with friends of soft hearts in order to help this lady get operated?”

This woman’s name is Lillian Apio from Lira, Uganda. She has cancer and is in need of $1,200 to cover the surgery and all expenses related to her operation and hospital stay. Her condition started as a toothache in 2010 and has warped into a very progressed state. She has exhausted all her funds in hospitals in both Lira and Gulu to try and get better to no avail. She has three children.

I personally know this man and can attest that he is trustworthy and credible to his word. However, to ensure that anyone who wants to give will feel confident that their funds are going directly for this woman’s need, Pastor Ken has volunteered to scan and email all receipts related to her healthcare for anyone who feels led to send a donation.

If you feel compelled to help this lady get relief from her suffering, then please contact me via facebook or email to let me know. The email at which you can reach me is:

[email protected]. Please do not click the “contact me” on my blog, as the email address associated with this blog is out of date now.

I will pass on the Western Union information for my friend to you and you will be able to send a donation that way. I will be updating everyone on her condition as it progresses. God bless everyone who will give and pray for this sweet lady.

For anyone interested in the details, the $1,200 needed breaks down as follows according to the proforma invoice provided by the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU) on Lillian’s condition:

1. Operation fee

2. Hospital stay/ Food on General ward per day

3. Hemoglobin

4. Blood Group and Cross Match

5. Haemoparasites (malaria, microfilaria)

6. Biopsy Surgipath.”

Thank you in advance to those who will give and pray for a truly needy lady a world away.
