Nope, you are not mistaken, it is 4:00 am and I am writing a blog… I guess this is what happens when you are 6 days away from your entire life being flipped upside down… Straight up insomnia… and blog writing.
Did you know that I am turning 23 years old on September 5th, the day before I leave for the World Race? Well, now you do! I am blogging to tell you about my Birthday wish:

HOWEVER you can support me will make me the happiest Birthday Girl in the world!!
The two most meaningful ways you can support me, the two BEST Birthday presents you could ever give me are your prayers and your financial support. Let me start with prayer. What can you pray for? Well, there are a few things that are standing out most to me right now.
1) PEACE: I need peace! My mind is racing a million miles per minute thinking about everything I have to do/pack/prepare in the next 6 days, everything that I am leaving behind, everything that I am about to enter into, everything that is completely unknown about the journey ahead, etc. Please pray for the Lord to give me peace!
2) HEALTH/PROTECTION: I haven't been feeling well, a lot of it is probably due to my stress level but also, my Malaria Medication I take once a week (every Monday – I started 4 weeks ago and will continue taking it the entire year) has been making me feel quite ill for the next couple days after I take it each week. So please pray that my body adjusts to it and the side effects decrease or are eliminated all together. Also, please pray that this medication, and all my vaccinations I had to get for that matter, actually WORK so that I can be the most usefull for God's Kingdom over the next 11 months. Also, I am on an all girl team so obviously the concern of not having the presence of a male around all the time for safety is on my mind. Pray that my team and I will be smart, aware, and safe everywhere that we go.
3) JOY: Please pray that I don't get so distracted by my "to do" list, or by the things that make this very challenging, or by the stress of saying goodbye to all my family, my friends, my doggie, and my fiance for 11 months that I miss out on all of the JOY that these next 6 days hold!!
4) FINANCES: Please pray for a MIRACLE to happen in my support account for the World Race! Pray that over the next 6 days money would just POUR into my account and that I might be so bold as to pray to be fully funded by September 6th! That means that I would need to receive $5,275 in the next 6 days! Money is such a small thing for my God who can move mountains, $5,275 is pennies to Him!
5) MY TEAM, SQUAD, AND SQUAD LEADERS: Please lift all of these people up as many of them have much greater challenges facing them than me. I love and believe in every single one of these people. They are all people that are literally going to change the world over the next 11 months so please remember them in your prayers and send them your love, support, comfort, and peace!
So now that I've given you my prayer requests, let me tell you about the one other most significant way you can give me my one Birthday wish of support: Financially!
As mentioned in #4 I need $5,275 in order to be fully funded. I am currently at $9,525 and fully funded would be $14,800. I was told that all the money really starts to come in a lot more in the final couple weeks before launch however, that is not the case for me. I have had no money come into my account in the last 4 weeks.
With that said, I am honestly not very concerned or stressed about the financial aspect of this trip. I do not need to be fully funded until 6 months into my trip, upon which if I am not fully funded by then, I will get sent home. I am CONFIDENT that God has called me to go on this journey for the full 11 months so I am 100% CONFIDENT that the money will come. However, my God is a God who performs miracles! He is a God who is just waiting for us to ASK Him to do something BIG so He can show us how good and perfect and faithful He is. But we often don't believe enough to ask such big things of Him. Well I am here to tell you that I believe in the big things! And I believe that THOUSANDS of dollars could come into my support account over the next 6 days through YOU. I believe that God has entrusted you and blessed you with MORE than enough so that you can be a blessing to me, even if it is just $23 for my 23rd Birthday. Twenty-three dollars covers 6 DAYS worth of food for me on the Race (we are given $3.75 per day for food)! I encourage you to seriously, and prayerfully consider supporting me financially on this endeavor. I promise you that through your donations, you too will be an international missionary.
