While the rest of O-Squad and M-Squad participated in a 5k/10k race through the back roads of Jinja, Cierra and I chilled at the last stop on the 10k race route to provide water a moral support. Unexpectedly, we enjoyed one of my favorite days in Uganda. Two muzungus just chilling in the middle of the road, excites some remark. Accordingly, 20+ kids joined us for singing, games, laughing, water, races, and waiting.

Out of nowhere, this kid comes running up with a disused bota-bota helmet.

The little one was terrified most of the day and clung to her sister, but eventually she let me hold her.

The boys had way to much fun with the camera.

Following after some of the 10k runners.

What kind of day would it be if we didn't have our own race – to Cierra…..

….and back to me!

Our runners' cheering section.

These little guys ran 5 km back with Emily and Chaney.
