Fastest internet I've ever had…so there are tons of pictures!

So, Tabora, Tanzania is an interesting place.  My team of seven spent every morning doing house-to-house evangelism for three hours.  It sounds terrible and like you would want to die, but it was actually really cool!  We met so many people and had the most God centered conversations.  We sat on a lot of sand and walked a million miles, but man, God was using us!  People were excited to see us (mainly because we are white) and we heard a lot of, “Caribu!” which means welcome!

One house we went to had three siblings all with families and their own children.   One sister was a Muslim, one was Christian and one was a witch doctor.  They all lived in the same place!  They were friends and looked the exact same.  They all wore long wraps, tank tops, and flip-flops.  They cooked around the small fire together, hand washed their clothes together and raised their children together.  What a unique opportunity.  Witches are not what you think.  In fact, throw everything you think you know about them out the window and keep reading.  They don’t wear hats or pretend to ride brooms or cackle.  They are actually sweet people who are sadly confused about truth.  Most are uneducated, but some truly call on evil spirits to heal and protect and curse people.  The sky is the limit to the amount of evil used to "better" people in the community.

Despite the atmosphere of complete newness to me, I loved the opportunity to share the power of Jesus and the need for His salvation.

Yeah, she's a cutie!!

Maria and Tasiana are the most precious women and served us well!

Goodbyes are hard….

Typical sight at a bus stop.  At least the choices here were pretty good!  I bought a pair of flip flops, apples, and sunglasses for the trip! Notice the view.  I don't mind 16 hour bus rides when I get to see this!
