On December 15th I got the official confirmation that I will be leaving in on January 4th. When I called in on the 15th I had $7,000 in my AIM account. The World Race staff said that it was not quite the goal but they had faith that it would come in. I also have about $4,000 in pledges for the time I am on the trip.
I want to thank everyone who is sponsoring me financially. God has used all of you to help send me on this trip. Thank you for being a partner with me in this mission. God brought in $3,000 in a week and a half. God also has provided several other wonderful things for me to help me financially on this trip. He has provided the medication I needed for the whole year for free and I now do not have to pay for two months of rent because my roommates were able to move to a two bedroom apartment in our complex.
Hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!! I hope that this time will be a reminder of the birth of Christ and the love that God has for us by giving his only son for us.
I have 11 days until I leave for the Dominican Republic. I can not believe it. I am trying very hard to be ready to go in 11 days. It is beginning to be very overwhelming, but very exciting.
On a sad note, one of my teammates, Katie will not be going out with us. She has felt that God has called her to go out in June on that trip. She will always be a part of Team BLING and will be praying for us.
