Dear Friend,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am so excited to share how my life is changing in a big way! As many of you know I have been praying for direction after I graduate with my Master’s in December 2008. God has answered that prayer in a mighty way. On January 1, 2009 I will be leaving on the World Race, a mission experience through Adventures In Missions. The World Race visits 11 countries in 11 months. It encourages people to step into cultures and situations beyond what they have ever dreamed, bringing the truth and message of Jesus as they go. I know that during this trip God is going to stretch me farther than I have ever been stretched, which is both terrifying and exciting. I can’t even fathom the amazing things God is going to do in my life and the lives of those I meet during this trip.
The tentative list of countries I will visit is: Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, Bosnia, and Romania. Ministries include working in orphanages, building houses, teaching English, feeding the hungry, helping local ministries plant churches, and more. We will be working with pre-existing contacts & relationships in each country and also allowing the Lord to lead us and guide us to specific people and places. Simplicity and flexibility is key. This trip will no doubt transform me as I immerse myself in community all day, every day, and as I am forced to depend on God in every aspect. I don’t know what to expect, but I know I will be challenged, humbled, stronger in the Lord and more self-aware.
Would you prayerfully consider being a partner with me in ministry during the World Race by praying and giving financially? This trip costs $13,800. That is $1,254/month, which is comparable to normal costs of living for a year (i.e. rent, food, transportation, etc). One-time gifts will help meet the initial 60% ($8,000) that I need raised by January 1st, and monthly gifts beginning as early as September will provide the remainder I will need throughout the year (25 people giving at least $25 a month will meet this goal!)

Adventures In Missions is registered with the IRS as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. Donors will receive receipts for their gifts with the understanding that the disbursement of those gifts lies completely at the discretion of Adventures In Missions and that the gifts are non-refundable and non-transferable, per IRS regulations.
