A big component of The World Race has to do with fundraising. In order for me to go out and make a difference in this world, I need to get the funds BEFORE I go.
I know what you are thinking, how much is this going to cost. In total, including , travel, food and housing I have to raise $16,000. =0 . Yes, you read that right. That is a lot of money; to say I am a little worried about raising enough is an understatement. But I faith that God will help to provide. Through all of my family and friends, through their friends, and with A LOT of work I know I can pull this off. I believe it!!!
The first fundraiser I am doing is going to be my biggest one.
On April 25th I will be hosting a 5K run/walk. My goal is to have 300 people. I may be aiming VERY high, and I know it, but here is the thing, WHEN (not if; always positive) I get 300 people to register for this one day, I will be 65% funded. Through registration alone. On top of this I will be selling T-shirts, which will bring in about 20% of the funds.

I know a lot of people are thinking, there is no way I can complete a 5K, or I will be out of town. THATS OK. I still need your help!!! This is 100% donation. Everything will be going directly to my Missions Trip. However much you are able to give it will be greatly appreciated. (This also goes for those who do not want to give the suggested registration fee. If it is too much, then you can give whatever you are able to. I need whatever help you can give to me).
At the Run/Walk there will be 2 routes. An Easy and a Difficult. The Easy route will be on flat surface around the park, and the Difficult will be up some hills for more of a challenge run. You can even bring your bikes if you want).
If you still are unsure about actually running, but you want to help,you can help in other ways at the event (Helping giving out water at different parts of the race, helping to register people before the start).
If you are not in the state of Florida (this is for my NY family and Friends) Then you can still help by donating. All you have to do is follow the same steps as if you were registering for the race (it is really my fund link that I am using to have people register for the race so that every knows all the proceeds are going directly there).
What is going to help me more than anything is your prays and support.
