More Than Words lyrics
Songwriters: Cherone, Gary; Bettencourt, Nuno;

Is not the words I want to hear from you
It’s not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew how easy
It would be to show me how you feel
More than words
Is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
Then you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”
More than words
Now but I’ve tried to talk to you
And make you understand
All you have to do is close your eyes
And just reach out your hands
And touch me
Hold me close, don’t ever let me go
More than words
Is all I ever needed you to show
Then you wouldn’t have to say that you love me
‘Cause I’d already know
What would you do if my heart was torn in two
More than words to show you feel
That your love for me is real
What would you say if I took those words away
When you couldn’t make things new
Just by saying “I love you”
More than words
More than words
More than words
More than words
More than words
When I think about this month of ministry the phrase that comes to mind is “More than words” and I think the above lyrics say it all. A large portion of our ministry this month in Honduras involves the lives of 6 teenage boys: Henry (17),
Christo (15), Josua (14), Carlos (12), Luis (12), and Fernando (11). Just to break it down, these boys live REAL lives. Their home is made up of three cement walls, they are lucky if they get one meal a day, and they lack warm clothes to wear during the frigid, cold nights up in the mountains.
The boys are overcoming their struggle with paint thinner. Every day the boys roam the streets digging for anything that resembles food. But God has given our contact a HUGE heart for these boys, and the positive influence he has had in their lives over the past several months is unbelievable! He has taken them under his wing and spoken life into them. He has taken on the role of a father figure in their lives, and his world truly evolves around making sure they know not only human LOVE, but also God’s LOVE.
One our first day of ministry in Honduras a few of us went to Los Pinos with our contact to sit in on the English class he recently started. As soon as we pulled up the boys ran up to greet us with BIG bear hugs and large smiles. It didn’t matter that they didn’t know who we were or what our names were, they knew we were there to LOVE on them and that is all that mattered.
erable. These boys need LOVE. They don’t need words. And LOVE is . In the past week LOVE has been manifested in several different ways: pillow fights, baking cakes, teaching English, face-painting, bear hugs, and speaking life and hope into their lives.
