Wow! I am so excited to see God working in my life and setting His plan into motion for me.
So, a little about me. I’m Shannan Kelley, my friends call me Shannie. I’m graduating from Marian University in Indianapolis, IN, on May 9th with a B.S. Marketing with a minor in graphic design. I’m from a very small town nestled in the midwest, Rockville, IN – the Covered Bridge Capital of the World – where I graduated high school with 49 students!
I have a pet turtle named Tuddle and today is actually our 1 year anniversary! S’cute.
I’m 6’2″ – yes the weather is fine up here, yes I will reach that for you, yes I did play basketball, and yes it is hard finding pants long enough. My go-to karaoke song is “Fergalicious” by Fergie. I can make a mean cup of coffee which I will more than likely spill. I love trees, like super into them, love them. My favorite bible verse is Proverbs 13:12, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is the tree of life.” Because it reminds me to put my faith in God and he will create a great work in me and my faith and life will blossom with his guidance and love. Also, it reminds me of a time that I did not have God as a centerpiece in my life. During this time I was so lost, confused, and searching for love in other avenues. That lifestyle made me feel more empty than ever before. Luckily we have a graceful God and he welcomed me back with open arms.
One of the big reasons I feel God is leading me to The World Race is so I can be an example of what it means to be loved unconditionally. The times I needed a physical and human reminder of what unconditionally love was were the time I NEEDED God the most. I encourage you to pray that God will soften my heart and teach to me observe and love without judgement.
