During Paul’s mission ministry in the New Testament, He relied heavily on the generosity of others. Without such generosity, Paul would have no place to stay, no food, no money, and wouldn’t have been as able to fulfill God’s calling of spreading the Gospel throughout the Nations. He wasn’t ashamed about asking people for help. Paul understood God’s promise to provide in abundance for those who were generous with what He had already blessed them with.
This is what Paul wrote about it:
6Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Like Paul, I am also relying greatly on the generosity of others. As my World Race launch date (October 6th) rapidly approaches, God has provided me with an unashamed boldness to ask for help. He reminds me daily to humble myself and ask others for financial donations….while trusting in His perfect provision through His children.
Currently, my World Race account has $5,040.25 in it. I have been blown away by the generosity of friends and family who have supported me in this way. I am in need of $9259.75 more to carry me through the full 11 months.
Here are some ways friends can help financially support my World Race journey:
1. Write a check.
-Write a check to “Adventures in Missions”
-Write “Shanna Landers” in the memo line
-Send check to:

2. Donate online via credit card.
-Click “Support Me” on the left side of this screen.
-(A deduction of 5% is taken out for credit/debit card processing)
3. Buy a Frisbee.
-I designed a Discraft, 175g disc with the countries that I will be serving in on The World Race. I’m asking for a $20 donation for each Frisbee.
4. Buy a bracelet.-My friend, Matt Davenport, is very skilled at making paracord bracelets and has offered to make some in support of my World Race journey!
-The smaller size bracelets are $8
-Larger size: $10
I am extremely grateful for each donation given and each prayer prayed. I am trusting that the Lord will provide in his perfect timing, and I also trust that God blesses and provides for those who are generous with their time, money, and prayers. Paul trusted in God’s provision as well, and writes about God’s promise to supply the needs of those who are obedient and generous with what He has blessed them with:
10Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
