Back in August I wrote a blog about Meikayla and Dubexi. I would encourage you to read it before you continue on with this one. After a long search I am finally ready for the next installment: Latavia and Madalitso.

After searching high and low I have found someone to give Latavia’s toy to… Madalitso. Her name means blessing and she truly is a blessing. Madalitso is the youngest of five sisters. Her father, pastor Harrison, was our main contact in Nkhota Kota, Malawi. She seemed shy at first but underneath the surface lies a such a sweet and spunky personality. When we went to her house I would find her dancing and laughing as she played outside with friends.

One of her main characteristics that reminded me of Latavia was her motherly tendencies. Madalitso and her sisters helped to cook our food each day and when we weren’t eating at their house, they brought it to ours… which was a 45 minute walk away. Each time we saw their sweet faces carrying buckets of food on their heads my heart wept with gratitude.

Although I was only able to give a toy to Madalitso, her sisters still deserve a mention as well. Lonjezo (Promise), Martha, Febby, and Miracle were all an incredible blessing to us. Each girl has a heart of gold and such a willing and helpful spirit.
