AROUND THE WORLD IN 326 DAYS…
Last June I embarked on a journey of a lifetime, a journey that I thought would allow me to see God at work, to have my world view expanded, to share God’s truth with the lost around the world. Did all that really happen? Yes, yes, and yes.

The 11 months have flown by in such a dizzying mix of emotions, experiences, and lessons. I traveled through 25 different countries, set foot on 4 continents, spent numerous days traveling on buses, trains, and planes, lived out of a backpack for a year, and even ate bugs. Sounds exciting, eh? But none of that even compares to the excitement of growing closer to God, of seeing how big He truly is, of watching the broken hearted find peace, and the lost find the way.
   

I’ve witnessed poverty across the globe…  mothers struggling to find food for their families, children walking miles with no shoes, families with 8+ people living in a single little shack. I’ve seen the broken hearted in every country… women and girls sold into sex slavey with little hope of escape, men trying to find purpose in drugs and alcohol, people searching for love and acceptance in all the wrong places. I’ve seen the sick in every nation… children with infections that aren’t treated, mothers and fathers with AIDs, heads covered in a constant nest of lice. I’ve seen a lot of heart ache, a lot of pain, and a lot of suffering. Yet, in the midst of it all, there was not a single place I went where I didn’t see God. He is at work everywhere and He can bring hope to even the darkest situations.

This year has shown me that we live in a dark world, yet, there is light and hope that comes from Jesus Christ. I can say with 100% confidence that we have nothing without Christ. It is in him that we truly find life. It was a privilege and honor to see people across the world grasp that concept and surrender their lives to our Lord and Saviour.

Thank you, each and everyone of you, for helping make this trip a reality and for lifting me up in prayer throughout the year. This truly has been a life changing experience. I know now more than ever that I am called to the nations and that missions lies in my future. I’m am getting more excited each day in anticipation for what the Lord has planned. Please continue to keep me in your prayers as God reveals his  plans to me and I begin to embark on an even greater journey.

THE ROAD AHEAD
After lots of prayer, some waiting, and some more prayer, I’m finally ready to announce where I’m heading next… drum roll… SPAIN! Starting October 5th, I will be attending the G42 Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain (for more information check out www.g42leadershipacademy.org). This six month intensive program is designed to not only teach and strengthen its students, but to empower them and send them out into the nations according to God’s calling on their lives. I am excited about this opportunity to prepare myself for more long term missions and to continue to grow in my relationship with Christ. Please keep me in your prayers as this new and exciting chapter begins.
