This past month I’ve been apart from <—– team Pi (Dre is in Northern Romanina and the other 4 members are in Ukraine), but God has blessed me with a new family… The Collective and the staff here at the YWAM base —–>

The Collective is made up of the Bruces, the Gracers, and myself. This was the first time we’ve been placed together on the race and it’s a shame because it’s been wonderful every step of the way. We clicked from the beginning and have had a great few weeks. We’ve laughed together, prayed together, worshiped together, talked together, and all around enjoyed each other’s company. The staff here at YWAM have made numerous comments on our unity and the joy we have around one another and I couldn’t agree more. It’s been a blessing to connect so well, so late in the game.

The staff here at YWAM have made me feel at home from the very beginning, all the way back to my scouting trip in early March. They have been so open and generous with themselves and their time. They are always quick to help out, translate something, call a bus station, or go for a walk and sit and chat over tea. It’s been close quarters, since we’re literally living in the YWAM office, but it’s been fun to have so many smiling faces around.

I thought I was done connecting and making deep relationships with only four weeks to go. But God has surprised me and surrounded me with a delightful family that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Lord for my family that keeps expanding!
