She has a story like most of us. A story that God wrote full of saving, redemption, and beautiful Grace. One in which equipped her with the compassion and passion to carry out the big calling God put on her life. You see she takes in young girl who have not only been neglected but raped and thrown out on the streets with their new babies. These children to “the world” that are not worth anything anymore and are thrown out to be forgotten. Gracie sees them at the Fathers does accepted, loved and calls them her own. They also take in children who have cerebral palsy. Her and her husband have a beautiful ministry in Honduras. I got the privilege to be apart of this precious family for one whole week.
But the story only gets better the more you get to know Gracie. This is not an ordinary woman to the world her job is very dangerous because she has to save these girls and their children from abusive homes and near death situations. Only that’s not the part that impacted me the most. Gracie began to tell us her testimony and really she is a woman who needed grace for a lot of things. As she began to share her testimony with us tears were rolling down her face I couldn’t help but ask myself why does her past still hurt her when her redemption is so beautiful. Then the answer came, ever time she tells her story even i could see her grace was still fresh like a living water within her. It still has the quickening in her spirit of unmerited and favorable grace her Heavenly Father so pleasingly placed upon her. It has so much power that she no longer walks around the same woman but like Abraham she has a new name. One that God gave her full of Grace. Meet Gracie this beautiful woman of God who challenged me to see my life really is not the same. One in which I’m given a new name!

This is not part of my blog but this was the very word God gave that day. God challenged all of us to see ourselves as he made us. Grab someone who will be willing to dive in by speaking life over you and read this Holy Spirit anointed word by Sarah Young. Then poor into each other, tell each other what are god qualities you see in them that they may not see in themselves. Be prepared to be surprised (I sure was) and be loved by the new name god has given you.
COME TO ME when you are weak and weary. Rest snugly in My everlasting arms. I do not despise your weakness, My child. Actually, it draws Me closer to you because weakness stirs up my compassion- My yearning to help. Accept yourself in your weariness, knowing that I understand how difficult your journey has been.
Do not compare yourself with others who seem to skip along their life-paths with ease. Their journeys have been different from yours, and I have gifted you with fragility, providing opportunities for your spirit to blossom in My Presence. Accept this gift as a sacred treasure: delicate, yet glowing with brilliant Light. Rather than struggling to disguise or deny your weakness, allow Me to bless you richly through it.
