Honestly I wasn’t really paying attention. I was too excited about Anna’s whole family being at church. They barely came to church at this point. Let alone coming to any extra church events. It was a pleasure watching her enjoy this movie. In reality they don’t get opportunities to do this very often because of work or just other things that are more important that need to get done. This truly was a treat. As the movie plays on she begins asking me different things about the movie. It was in English so she was trying to understand what she could. Then she made this statement that stuck with me. Something so simple yet so profound. I’m not even sure she knew the depth to what she was saying. Or maybe it was me over complicating the heart of the matter. The movie was “A Walk to Remember”. In the story this boy saw something different in this girl because this girl new a fulfilled life. Anna said,” The real miracle is he wants to change his life”.
Then it hit me that’s the real miracle: a changed life. It hit me that when I think of miracles I think of healing or financial provision. Or God just simply doing something super natural. But the reality is a changed life is the biggest miracle. Salvation is the ultimate. We can communion with God again through His son. Our lives because of Jesus is nothing less than a super natural miracle.
