Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I am pleased to announce that Friday, December 6th, at approximately 7:15 PM the second generation of O Squad (my group) completed the World Race. Who was the first one off the plane? I really don’t remember.
After 11 months of back-packing, preaching the Gospel, clearing property, loving the homeless, eating alien foods, teaching the orphan, fighting digestive disorders, and reaching the lost, we have completed our venture around the world. It’s a strange thing, knowing it’s all finished, standing at the end of the course and recalling every step along the way. I feel relieved, and I wonder how much I have changed.
Memories have been made that will stick with me forever. Lessons have been learned that will shape my ministry everywhere I go. Lives have been changed powerfully because God was pleased to work through His kids. This year, though not void of difficulty, has made an enormous impact on my life.
I want to thank everyone who has financially and prayerfully supported me throughout this year. God has used you to shape lives in ways that you won’t fully see on this side of eternity. Your support has fueled opportunities for the lost to hear about Christ, for children to experience His love, for missionaries to hear His encouragement, for the hungry to be fed and the needy clothed, for the growth of lasting friendships, and for communities to be changed by the power of His Name.Thank you for partnering with me on this journey.
I made it back to the US Midwest just a few days ago and baby has it been nice. Familiar faces, familiar foods, familiar language, familiar songs, and most of all my fantastically familiar family. I’m in Belleville, Kansas with my folks, in case you want to drop by and say hi. Right now, I’m thinking about sticking around until I finalize some plans with God about the next step. Prayers for that will be gratefully accepted.
God is good. Let’s remember that this Christmas. The greatest and most unmerited gift humanity ever received, God’s own Son, that’s what we’re celebrating. “For God so loved the the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life,” John 3:16.
Love you guys. Thank you for blessing the craziest year of my life, and I hope have a very Merry Christmas.
Your brother,
Seth
