Hello friends!!
It's been a while since I've mentioned fundraising of any kind, so I figured it was time to give you an update. Since my last fundraising update I've received almost 2,000 dollars! Basically, you guys pushed me past my first deadline. Which means I can go to training camp in July!! This makes the Race even more real because I'm in there now. We're good to go. Now I'm trying to get to my second deadline, which is $6,500, by August 18th. But I'm not worried.
I'm not worried because God provides. He provides through you, He provides through others, He can provide through whatever the heck He wants. If there is anything this past semester of college has taught me (other than Genetics is super hard (side-note, I came out with a B!!)) it's that God is in control. He has a plan for my life, and no matter how strange it may look before-hand it's going to be a pretty awesome plan. I've learned so much about myself and even learned why on earth He led me to the World Race in the first place. If you've read any of my blogs you know I struggle with some doubt and worry. I've been somewhat nervous that I was doing this for the wrong reasons, or that I had jumped headlong into something I didn't understand. However, if you read my last blog about the Dominican Republic you know that I'm ready to go. In short, God brought me to the World Race not only so He could teach me things about myself but so that He could use me to reach the people of this world. The wonderful, beautiful, amazing, joyful, people of this world. Those people that have been cast aside, those people that have nothing, those people who have been abused. All of the people. The funny thing about the Race is, I can't do it alone. This isn't a one man mission journey. I'm not gonna drop into the wild places of the world fighting sin and Godlessness like a Christian Rambo. I need help. Because before I can even set out on this trip, before I can meet these wonderful people, before I can do anything I need a great deal of help. Specifically I need your help.
To those of you have given to my trip already, I can't thank you enough. I want you to know that you're just as much a part of this trip as I am. Everything I get to do, all the people that I get to meet, whatever God does in my life will be done because of you guys. I can't wait to take all of you on this journey with me when September rolls around. To those who have prayed for me thus far, I want to thank you just as much. There is significant power in prayer, and I feel that I couldn't have gotten this far without your continued prayers. In short, you have blown my mind. You've genuinely taught me a great deal about generosity and what's important in life. For this, I thank you.
If you haven't supported me yet don't worry, I still love you. If you are not at a place in your life where you can give financially, please support me prayerfully. As I said before, prayer is powerful. And my squad and I could use all the prayer you can muster!

I'm pretty much exactly 1/3 of the way funded and it's not even June!! That still leaves $10,321 before I am fully funded. It seems like a lot, but we can handle it!
