It’s hard to put month One into words. Everything is so new and everything is still so exciting. There are many different directions I could take with this blog post that could have the possibility of uplifting and revealing the hidden mysteries of Holy Spirit. I could speak of the kids at the school we served and how they revealed the heart of the Father with their reception of love. I could talk about the beauty of creation and how the Mountains rose from the sea to kiss the sky. I could even speak of the instance where I was moved by Papa’s love in the singing of old African women and the blessings they bestowed on our group.

For some reason, I couldn’t settle on what to write to truly encompass the experience that Holy Spirit used Cape Town South Africa to refine what He’s done in me. We’re currently in Debrief and I was spending time with Him in the secret. He revealed this verse and suddenly everything locked into place. “Their hearts may be encouraged, being together in love, and attaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge’.As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you have been taught abounding in it with thanksgiving..Colossians 2:2-3 and 6.

It is in these words that my purpose is fulfilled. It is to operate from the fullness of understanding that Jesus laid out for us in the Holy Spirit. From this desire and from this drive, I am in constant hope of manifesting the hidden treasures of our Father. That has been what God has wanted for me since before I was born. He has wanted to show His hidden treasures through His children and He has wanted to bestow His mysteries through us. This was a result of Jesus bestowing to us the Holy Spirit and giving us ‘the counselor’ so that we may have the fullness of Joy and the assurance of His great and weighty presence in our lives. So it is with this focus that His heart is revealed and His desire for our lives is manifested.

It is why I can pray for a child’s hurt foot and it be healed so He can play with His friends. It is why I can pray for a Homeless man in a bus terminal and He confess of addiction to alcohol and smoking. It was the manifested treasures of Holy Spirit being presented to Him and in that instant the Homeless Man with tears in His eyes found His Home in the foundations of Jesus. It is why I can speak with authority and assurance the hidden mysteries of God may be revealed because my foundation is rooted and ground in what Love is.

So, I just wanted to encourage all who are reading that all of the knowledge of God the Father is attainable through Jesus but in the way of ‘As He is, So are We’. So Jesus is alive in and of the Holy Spirit, so when walking in Him and being built up in Him, we are alive in the same way Jesus is alive. We have literally been resurrected from death and because of that we abound in Thanksgiving in aspects of our lives.
