Sorry for the lack of blogging lately. I’ve been on the beach. A gorgeous beach in Manila. As for Christmas, I videotaped it and will enlighten you soon.


As it is, it is late at night and we are leaving for a closed Asian country in a few hours. I really ought to get packing and catch some shut eye before our departure, so I’ll keep this short. The Lord has been teaching me lots, but mostly the past week has been a lot of rest and fun. Every morning I would wake up and visit with the Lord on the beach… in the distance over the ocean mountains shoot into the sky. Behind me the sun would rise above more lush, green mountains.


Here are some of the highlights:



  • There were many games of volleyball played. Danny and I (or Maverick and Iceman) are the undisputed champs at volleyball

  • I swam with a thousand minnows.

  • We got to spend our Christmas with the June squad. They invested into us and have become great friends that I love and respect.

  • We relaxed on the beach and swam in the crystal clear ocean water.

  • We played cards and other games.

The Redskins are in the playoffs after winning 4 games straight!!! (It’s just a shame I won’t be able to know anything more for 3 weeks when I’ll find out whether or not they made it to the Superbowl… go skins!). I’ve got a bet going with Danny – 10 beers says they make it to the Superbowl. I have 4:1 odds.


The reason why I won’t know what happenes with them is because I won’t be able to check the internet for the next three weeks. Which also means no blogs. I appreciate your prayers and support. Financially, I have about $4,000 yet to raise for the remainder of the race. If you are interested in giving, the option is available. Thank you again for your prayers and for reading. May God bless you all this year. May he inspire you to live life to the fullest. May you never settle. I pray that the church this year come alive again and realize our potential. We are in a war, yet we do nothing, and more and more people are unaware. May God give you vision and passion. May you see and do miracles. May God use you to challenge a generation, to raise up your children in reality, to love more completely, and give more generously. Happy New Years to you all. My resolution is to live life more dangerously. One thing Betty Means told me in training camp has stuck with me, and that is a quote from Brennan Manning or someone like that. It goes something like this: “I don’t want you to live safe. I wish for you to live so dangerously that even the demonic forces opposing you tremble.” This is what I want.
