After about 30 hours of traveling, we are at our initial destination of Bangkok, Thailand. We arrived at the YWAM base last night at around midnight in the middle of a thunder storm. Apparently it’s the rainy season here. The first thing I did after bringing up the bags and praying with my group was to get some Pad Thai with Chicken. And boy was it yummy! We got drenched on the walk to the market, but I didn’t really care.
Much of my team is starting out the race pretty strong – they ran a couple of miles this morning. I decided against that and went to the local coffee vender and got a couple of delicious coffees for about 60 cents. It was much better than Starbucks.
The ministry details I posted a couple blogs ago is wrong. I’m not exactly sure what we’ll be doing, but it’s in a different location… more on that later.
I believe I’ll go get some Cashew Chicken now.
I love Thailand.
