It’s all about focus, I have learned. If you’re trying, no matter how hard, to not sin, you’re sure to fail. But if your focus is on the Lord, if you are delighting in Him, it is not only easier to submit your thoughts to the Lord, but it’s also much more difficult for the Devil to put these thoughts in your head, because this depends on our attention (that we notice the thoughts), or our focus.
When we focus on the Lord, when we seek Him with all our heart, He promises that we will find Him.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jer. 29:13
