Today my teammates rode elephants (I’ve ridden one before and
didn’t find it all that great, so I stayed behind and conversed with
our translator about Thailand.), we saw how silk was made, I read lots
of Mere Christianity, and ate some more rice. I do believe that we will
have rice every lunch and dinner for the next 3 and a half months
before going to Africa. So far, bring it on… I’m loving the food.
Check back in a month to see what I say.
I am stilled ready to get some real ministry time in. So far the time
has been pretty laid back. We helped in a VBS on Saturday for a few
hours, led the church service, which featured me speaking very
monotonely on community living (more on that later), and then today we
had the day off. I believe we’ll be going into several schools
tomorrow. I’ll be sure to write something more in depth with more
relevant pictures in the next couple of days.
