Bucharest is the capital of Romania, a large and populous country in the EU. Transylvania is the central region of Romania, filled with fun, interesting places to visit. Romania is growing economically, but lags a little behind other former Communist states. Although former Communists still play a large role in government, the church in Romania has grown considerably after the fall of the Communist regime. The population of Evangelical Christians in Romania is high, but the average pastor supervises five churches! I’m praying for the development and training of religious leaders to meet the needs of this country as it grows spiritually.
Another prayer need for Romania is for the young adults who struggle through the after-effects of Communism. I pray that our team can connect with this generation of young Romanian Christians and activate them to live outwardly in light of the Gospel.

Past teams have worked with YWAM (Youth With a Mission), taken part in IHOP (International House of Prayer), street evangelism, village outreach, coffee house ministry, helped with teaching and preaching in local churches, and helped out practically around the YWAM base.
Jesus loves Romania and I can’t wait to see what He is working there.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.” Isaiah 61:1-2
