In about 20 days, I get to return to Africa with a team made up of 14 women!

I am currently about 35% funded for this journey and need to raise $1,229 to be fully funded.

Will you help me reach this goal?

As always, I love sharing what I am doing, why I am going, and why I am raising support from my friends and family around me to go on this journey. Feel free to reach out to me on Instagram, Facebook, email, or just give me a call!

But if you’re just looking for a quick rundown, here it is!

What?

A two month missions trip to Swaziland and South Africa. I spent a month in each of these countries on my World Race last Spring! Southern Africa was one of my favorite parts of my journey, I cannot wait to return and encourage a team experiencing those two countries. Check out my previous videos from my time in these two beautiful places!

 When?

This summer! Our team will leave in the first few days of June and return at the beginning of August.

Why?

As I mentioned in my previous blog, encouraging others to take the step onto the mission field is something I am passionate about. Whether it’s your first time leaving the States or your 16th stamp in your passport, there is always new adventure, new experience, and new growth that comes with saying “Yes” and leaving behind the day-to-day that you’re used to. Get uncomfortable, hear stories, share the Good News, and love others. That’s what I want to encourage others to do, so leading a trip that allows me to encourage other to do just that – to take a leap and cross an ocean – is exactly what I want to do.

How?

I know I cannot do this alone. I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many encouraging friends and family. If you feel led to support this journey of mine, know that you are playing such an important, necessary role in something bigger than just me and my team. You are investing in myself as a follower of Christ and a team leader on this journey, you yourself are saying yes to the call to support international missions and missionaries, and you are helping send a team to two functioning, sustainable ministries that are diligently serving their communities. As a passport team, we get to offer whatever help we can for a whole month. We get to not only be extra hands during busy seasons, or fill in when a staff member hasn’t had a break in months, or sing crazy songs and play hilarious games with kids that don’t get to let loose in genuine fun and community – we also get to be the hands and feet of Jesus and carry the Gospel with us every step of the way.

So thank you for your support and encouragement, I am so excited to return to southern Africa and I am so grateful that you are helping me get there through prayer, encouragement, and support!

 Love always,

Sequoi
