September 2013 squads take the stage for a Battle Royale, a blitzkrieg, a crusade of valiant warriors. After the dust settles, who will be left standing?
Squad Wars is a tradition dating back to the earliest ages of the World Race. Since the dawn of time (circa 2010), squads have mustered their troops, fighting at the sound of the battle cry, proving their dominance over other contending squads. Song. Dance. Marshmallows. Hosiery: all weapons in the battlefield.
If the Eye of the Tiger isn't playing in your head yet, it should be.
Future Racers, you may have heard that World Race people are cray cray, and we will not try to deny it; but have you heard just how crazy we can be? Yes, we might stand on chairs, deem brokenness as beautiful, and go days without showering. Consider yourself warned…
Here's how it works: There will be 4 squads launching in September 2013. For the most part, you have been known as Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 but from now on, you will now be known by your squad letters, U, V, W and X.
Points will be awarded for various Squad Wars challenges beginning now through training camp. The squad with the most points at the end of Squad Wars WINS!

SQUAD WARS CHALLENGE NUMERO UNO: REP YOUR SQUAD LETTER!
Racers, it's time to get creative!
Your mission:
– Each squad member takes a creative photo of something that resembles his or her squad letter (you may not merely take a picture of the letter itself or make something into the shape of the letter yourself, it must be something that appears to look like that letter.)
– Upload your photo to your squad's facebook group page with your name (one entry per person.)
– You will have TEN DAYS (including today!) to post your photos. This battle ends on Sunday, May 26th at Midnight (in your own time zone.)
– The squad with the most photos that rep their squad letter WINS!

Points will be awarded accordingly:
1st place= 500 points
2nd place= 250 points
3rd place= 100 ponts
4th place= 50 points
