I feel this is a word that I’m supposed to share with you guys.  Maybe it’s for many or maybe it’s just for one.

I have always seemed to have car troubles.  And not just your ordinary need a flat fixed type.  When my car breaks down, it does it in a manner that often leaves me frustrated and crying.  About 2 years ago my car was finally on it’s last leg.  Transmission went out.  Those are not cheap to fix! So, the church I was working at was letting me use the church van.  Not always my favorite thing to do since it is a gas guzzler.  Anyhow, not many people at the church knew about my circumstances.  I got an invitation from a couple in our church for dinner after the Sunday evening service.  This wasn’t a couple I interacted with much.  Their sons were in kidz church at the time so I obviously knew them.

My friend and I arrived there after service and ate pizza.  After dinner we all sat down and they proceeded to share a story with me.  They had decided not too long ago to purchase a new car.  The Mrs. knew exactly what she wanted.  Right down to the color!  The exact vehicle she wanted was found at an auction by a friend.  The friend went to the auction as was told only what kind of vehicle this couple wanted.  He called it in to them and the couple decided they’d take it because it was at a great price.  God had provided exactly what her heart desired right down to the shade of green.  They wanted to sell her old car in order to help pay for the new one.  After praying about, they both had agreeded that God didn’t want them to sell it.  They argued and struggled with God until they realized He knew better.  God told them to give their car away…to me! Words couldn’t describe how I was feeling.  I was without words to express that evening.  The car cost me $1.00  And it wasn’t some junker that they’d never be able to sell.  I still drive this car.  It’s a 1998 Nissan Maxima in great condition.  This was the car God gave me.

Sometimes it doesn’t like to start in the mornings though and I get frustrated.  And then I remember that it is my gift from God.  He’s going to take care of it.  Why would God give me something that isn’t going to last!  Sometimes I think taking it all the way to Georgia and back is gonna be too hard on my car.  Again, why would God give me something that isn’t going to get me where He needs me!  I thought a lot about this yesterday and God brought something else to mind.  Why would God put a desire like the World Race in my heart if He wasn’t going to help me find the funds to do it?  He says Don’t Worry!  He says seek first MY kingdom.  Friends, let us not forget that God is faithful to finish everything He has started 🙂

Blessings,

Michelle…see ya soon!!!!

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow….” Matthew 6:31-34

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever.” Philippians 4:19-20

“If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.  But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.  Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Luke 12:28-31

“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.” Matthew 19:29-30
