Squad Christmas (Red + Green), forget the Q and the R, cause I still
believe we’re one giant squad, haha! It was so amazing meeting all you
guys and I can’t wait to run this race with all of you come September.
I know for many of you training camp was an eye-opening experience of
being exposed to the Gifts of the Spirit. And I just want to encourage
you to continue searching it out in the scriptures, seeking out wise
counsel, praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal more of Himself to you,
and practicing what you’ve learned so far.
A friend and I just
went out 2 days ago to go evangelize and sell those Threads of Hope
bracelets, and we truly saw the POWER and LOVE of God touch people in a
tangible way. We went to an outdoor shopping area in Kansas City, MO
known as the Plaza, which looks like a small town full of Spanish
villas. So my friend and I sat out a table, posted a sign with
“Bracelets $2” on one side and “Free Spiritual Cleansing” on the other,
and then put out the bracelets to start selling. The next 4 hours was
an amazing time of God encounter after God encounter. We saw multiple
peoples’ legs grow, backs and ribs get healed, knee and foot pain taken
away, and complete mobility to someone’s shoulder restored.
We
would get groups of 5-10 people gathering around us spontaneously and
then see God manifest His presence. We prayed for people with
alcoholism, depression, and anxiety; and afterward they would say that
they felt something lift and that they were lighter. Towards the end
there was a black girl in her teens who passed us and asked us what we
we’re doing, and instead of answering her, I simply asked her back, “You want
to find out? Come here. Would you like to know what God thinks about you?” So
she walked up slowly and I placed my hand on her shoulder and simply
told her what the Lord thought of her. I told her that she was a dancer
and that she felt like she was running from something, but that the
Father loves her and was chasing after her. She was so astonished that
she got 3 of her friends and then they all wanted to be prophesied over.
So
I did one after another and then finally told the last one that she was
a mother and had unforgiveness towards a male figure in her life
because of something he had done. She seemed deeply touched and then
ended up going inside to a store, when all of a sudden she came back
out moments later asking, “Did God tell you anything else?”At that
moment I knew God was pulling on her heart, and then another women (a
Christ follower who says that she hears the Lord audibly) in her
mid-40s came up because she saw what we were doing and then she
embraced the girl, spoke life into her, and ended up leading her
through salvation. Praise Jesus!
It was such an amazing evening
of seeing people encounter the God who loves them. We saw healings,
deliverances, and a salvation. My friend and I went out with the intent
of bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, and that is exactly what
happened. I just want to encourage all of you that this stuff is real,
tangible, and active today. And anyone with the Holy Spirit living
inside them can do it — That includes YOU! I can’t wait to see what
God will do through us on this trip, but also know that we don’t have
to wait. The West is full of the “walking dead”; I think it’s time we
wake them up!
