“Each one must give as he decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7. Giving money, deciding on giving money or deciding how much money can be both hard and scary decisions. Like the verse says above, giving must be decided by one’s heart. I can’t sit here and tell you that you should give this much or this often. You must be the one to decide. I also can’t compel you to give, that must be your decision as well. I can tell you though that if you decide to give and no matter the amount, that I will be grateful and that it will go to a great cause; Spreading His Word and His Kingdom! “God loves a cheerful giver.”
I will continue with that fundraising is a scary thought for myself and most Racers probably. It is the first large obstacle we have for this adventure to spread His word and Kingdom. I mean it seems like a lot of money that we have to raise. However, Philippians 4:19 states “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” So, yes God will provide and I will reach my goal. Another note, I find it fun to do fundraising. Planning events, selling awesome t-shirts designed by “Fund the Nations” (order form and designs coming soon), selling amazing handmade bracelets provided by “Threads of Hope” and so much more. So yes fundraising will be a tough road, however, it will most definitely be exciting as well!
