I’ve already sat in front of this computer for 2 hours trying to paint an accurate picture that would best describe what I went through during these last 10 days at training camp.
The truth is I can’t.
So I’m going to refer back to my journal, and tell you about the most amazing experience I’ve ever had in my life!!!
This is going to be uncensored!
If you believe in the Lord Jesus the Christ this may challenge your faith or affirm it.
If you don’t believe in Jesus you may be challenged to merely believe what you’re about to read.
I will not hold back in fear of peoples reactions.
The only reaction I care about now is God’s.
All that is written is written for the glory of God and so that his glory may be known.
I am a simple man, nothing great.
Glory only be to God in the name of Jesus.
You are about to read my account of God touching me!
The spirit of God came upon me in three different ways during the past 10 days.
This specific journal entry is about the last time God touched me.
Prior to training I’ve never felt the spirit of God in this way.
Truth be told I’ve doubted the presence of God, doubted miracles, and whatever I did see I wondered if people were faking it because I had never experienced it.
I feel led to share these accounts as a testimony to Gods glory, mercy, love, and awesome power.
Some of what you’re about to read has yet to pass.
That is
why I’m excited to tell you these things.
Because when they do come to pass you will know that it was done in the name of Jesus.
Glory only be to Him, for He has shown me great mercy and grace!
4-15-07
– I’m at the Texas airport laying over and waiting for my plane back to Seattle.
The 10 day training is over.
I said goodbye to everyone but I will see them soon, either in Georgia, Africa, or some other country.
On the plane ride here I’ve been reflecting on the training, specifically the last three days.
Since God has released my tongue I have spoken in tongues about 4 or 5 times since the first time.
I love it!!! Just the thought that my spirit is speaking out to God powered by the Holy Spirit is Awesome!! I don’t even know what I’m saying!! How cool is that!
-So, Shelbe spoke again.
She told more of her testimony of being a missionary in Pakistan and Afghanistan.
She spoke about the keron and how even in the keron they speak about Jesus.
We even went over some of the text in the keron.
It’s cray how the keron
contradicts itself.
Her authority in Jesus name is so powerful to watch and hear.
She testified how the Holy Spirit empowered her to raise a child from the dead.
I remember thinking wow, from the dead!! She even said that she doubted herself for a moment before she prayed over the child in the hospital.
But she was reminded of John 14:12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
And she reminded us of that.
That God is not a distant God from 2000 years ago but rather a living God who is still more active than ever.
So she prayed over the child and he began to cry.
Then she even testified to raising one of her dead puppies from the dead that same day at her home.
Once her Muslim servant saw this he came to Christ.
He told her to “Have your God raise the dog from the dead.” So she prayed over it and the dog came alive in Jesus name.
I’m thinking wow that’s crazy but I believe it.
Ever since she started preaching two days ago, I’ve been speaking in tongues and the spirit of God has come upon me many times, so I believe she raised them from the dead in Jesus name.
She spoke with such power and confidence.
I think “what a women to spend 23 years in Afghanistan.
How amazing is the spirit of God to work so many miracles.”
And I was reminded again of John 14:12.
We will never be more than Christ!!
But he lives in us and we in Him.
He will work through us and bless us with his miracles and great amazing gifts.
People healed of disease, the blind see, the deaf hear, the cripple walk, and the dead raised.
Shelbe asked if we were scared of all that she had been speaking about.
Most of us responded with a “no.”
She said, “because I’m going to call for those who want to receive gifts from God.
If you want one or two, all or none, or you just want prayer.
Whatever you heart seeks we will anoint you with oil and will pray over you.”
-So I walked up with about 20 others when she called for us.
She asked us to reach out to God and to wait for them to come by and pray for us.
Many of the prayer councilors came to the front to help with the praying over people.
I was in the second row of people.
I really wanted Shelbe to pray over me.
She prayed over me a few days ago when I received the gifts of tongues so I was drawn to her.
I feared that she wouldn’t be able to pray over me because of the needs of others.
I guess I doubted
the others ability to anoint me.
I confess it’s not about the gift but rather the gift giver as in God.
I just felt so drawn to Shelbe.
I repent for doubting God’s ability to work through whomever.
For he will use the least of us for his wonders!
However God still brought Shelbe to pray on me.
I smelled the oil then felt someone’s hand on my forehead.
I cracked my eyes open and saw Shelbe’s arm reaching through the outstretched arms of those in front of me.
She had to turn her body to the side just to reach me.
I said inside myself to the Lord, “Give me all that I’m ready to receive.
In Jesus name for His glory not my own.”
When her hand pulled away the spirit of the lord came upon me in a way I’ve never experienced!
It came over my hands starting at my finger tips then moving all the way down to my wrists.
It felt like tingling and burning all at the same time.
It start to intensify so much so that my hands curled up.
At the same time this was happening, the same thing was happening to my entire face, a warm, tingling, burning sensation.
It didn’t hurt but it was very intense.
I remember trying to speak and I really couldn’t.
At this time one of the speakers said “please kneel if you’ve been prayed over so we can reach those who haven’t been prayed over yet.” So I feel to my knees.
The spirit was so strong I couldn’t speak and my hands were still curled up.
I remember thinking, “Oh God I have doubted your touch in the past but you have over come me.
Thank you God thank you God!
You are all mighty and powerful.”
Then the sensation began to fade away gently.
I could move my hands in full motion and move my face and speak.
I thought to myself does this mean I will heal with my hands and speak prophecy.
I felt in my heart that is what God was telling me.
I stood up and began to praise God for about a half hour until Shelbe was free for me to approach her.
I told her what had happened, but I didn’t mention what I thought it meant.
She then told me you have been given the gift of healing and prophecy.
Then she began to pray over me and prophesied I that I will prophesize to the nations.
In Jesus name I received these gifts.
In Jesus name for his glory and not mine.
These gifts serve as a testament to Gods living power and to set those who are in bondage free.
-The greatest gift God has given me is the gift of salvation by the blood shed on the cross for my sins.
The rest is for his glory alone.
I am willing, for his Kingdom and for the glory of my God, Amen!
