I am super excited to have this wonderful new blog! I have never had one before, so the whole prospect is a little daunting. So far, I got through the “About Me” and the “Contact Me” sections without a total mental collapse, so GOOD TIMES!
I cannot begin to say how excited I am t be going on this trip. After the initial “woohoo, I’m going!” however, the cold reality of life set in – I am going to have to pack and move again.
The blog is a work in progress, and I am polishing up some more intelligently worded posts, but I want everyone to get a sense of my enthusiasm and JOY at the prospect of all that this trip can and will be. I get to GO! I have spent the better part of my life fighting back incurable wanderlust and am, for the first time, going to get on a plane and do some major globe-trotting! And the best part is, I get to make a difference in people’s lives along the way, and share the love and compassion of my amazing God as part of a team of like-minded people who are as driven as I am. (And I also get to see Machu Picchu. I just found that out last night. MACHU PICHU)
God is already in the process of putting me back on the anvil (more on this later) and I am excited to see what he is going to do in my life, the lives of my team, and MOST importantly, how he is going to use us in the coming year. There is just one word that can express everything that is happening right now:
